Job Description

Qualifications:

• Wrestling teaching/coaching experience
• Wrestling knowledge and playing experience
• Knowledge of athletic events/scheduling
• Understanding of OSAA rules & regulations
• Ability to communicate and work well with high school students
• Ability to work with parents Booster Club and fundraising events
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• NFHS certified
• Mini bus/van driving clearance and valid drivers license
• Must complete a fingerprint-based Criminal History Background Check.

Duties:

• Teach and coach techniques and skills needed for the Wrestling program.
• Recruit evaluate and assign assistant coaches to appropriate program levels.
• Teach character development and leadership skills.
• Ensure athlete safety including prevention of bullying harassment and hazing.
• Coordinate a practice schedule for the entire season
• Coordinate upkeep for Wrestling practice and game facilities
• Attend all Wrestling competitions in preparation for State Competition
• Organize appropriate awards for Sports Awards Night
• Prepare and submit yearly budget and order necessary equipment
• Complete necessary paperwork for inventory budgeting records etc.
• Supervise fundraising activities before and during the school year
• Be a positive role model

Salary:

• Based on experience FTE and placement on the Licensed Co-Curricular salary schedule.
